Best electronic product decision I have made in a long time. July 27, 2010 Victoria Benoist (West Palm Beach, FL, US) I bought this after my sony broke at 6 months. Using the same headphones I now hear lyrics far more clearly, as well as instruments I didn't even know were there. I love it!
Execellant Product July 23, 2010 Ranger Great cd player. The sound could be better. Battery life is good. Worth buying.
Nice but caution July 21, 2010 Din Pretty nice device but here are some cautions.
1) Volume does not go loud enough to hear on noisy train or airplane
2) When it starts up, the volume is automatically set to 1 on range 1-31
3) To hear at start up you have to remember to find small volume up button on side and view hard to read LCD display until it gets up in to your desired volume setting
4) A little tricky to open to insert disck
Does the job July 4, 2010 Anon (NW Wisconsin) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
It does the job for me. The controls are easy to use in all lighting. I mostly listen to books on CD, sometimes while falling asleep. There is a little hum in the pauses. I expected it to be silent.
RCA DELIVERS June 15, 2010 Danny Casson (Chula Vista, CA United States) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
This is about the best sounding portable cd player out there..especially for the price. I had an old version of this player and found the fidelity better than my ipod and other porable devices I had owned. I replaced the RCA with the top selling Sony cd portable player and was disgusted. The sound was muddy and overbearing. I took it back. I found the RCA a couple weeks later and bought it..the sound is wonderful. The key is the Bass Boost and Surround Sound buttons they offer.
I don't know about the dependability..I have only had it a week. Is anything built like it used to be? Nowdays nothing lasts like it used to. It's just a fact of the times. By the way, this player has been consistently in the top 5 of best portable players out there. In response to the reviewer who apparently has a limited vocabulary, if you want to get something that really "sucks" buy a Sony!
