Bean Bag Covers: Materials & Cleaning

Check the exact cover, removable parts and care label before cleaning a bean bag. Avoid unsupported washing or filling assumptions.

The label comes first

A fabric name alone does not establish a washing method. Check the care label for the specific cover, including washing temperature, drying and whether machine washing is allowed. Where published descriptions conflict, ask for the label or clarification rather than treating either description as confirmed.

Separate cover, liner and filling

Ask which layers are removable and which can be washed. Do not put an assembled bean bag in a washing machine unless the manufacturer explicitly permits it. Keep filling contained during any approved cover removal and follow the manufacturer's safety instructions.

Refilling needs the correct specification

If refilling is appropriate for your model, confirm the filling type and specification before buying it. This guide does not prescribe a universal bead size, amount, waterproof treatment or antibacterial claim.
